Course Description
The flute is one of the oldest musical instruments of India. Made from the bamboo plant, it is perhaps the most natural and simple of all musical instruments.
In this course students will be given the advanced training of Indian Heritage music, raga oriented through flute playing includes primarily the meditative character of raga, visualization of raga and the difference between moods or Rasha-ved discriminated in raga with the help of flute. Secondly higher blowing techniques and breathing control in flute playing by discriminating from other flute styles.
Target Audience
(i)Someone who has keen interest in learning this blowing instrument.
(ii)Someone who has already learnt Flute and want to further enhance his or her skill.
(iii)Someone who is aiming to become a regular performer or Flute exponent.
Learning Outcome
Indian classical music is Gurumukhi-vidya (Education learnt from the Guru) which has been and is being transferred from Guru to disciples for centuries. To learn and understand Indian Classical Flute Music many years are required. Indian classical flute music is very simple and easily playable, given a student approaches the flute learning with patience and persistence.
Each class is consisting of both practice and theory based lessons for all round knowledge.
